Pull out your gloves, your furs, and your Christmas cheer, because we are taking a trip back to Christmas Eve 1946 to see the radio actors of WBFR Radio Playhouse perform the classic: It?s a Wonderful Life!
This family-friendly play directed by Rosie Whisenant retells Frank Capra?s classic holiday film, using a live-in-the-studio format that takes the audience back to the golden age of radio. The story follows the life of well-loved community figure George Bailey in Bedford Falls as he struggles with the challenges of life and the lack of adventure. Thanks to his guardian angel (second class) Clarence, George sees how his town, friends, and family would have turned out if he had never been born. With five performers to voice dozens of characters and a Foley artist creating live sound effects, we invite you and your family to take this Christmas journey with us to begin a wonderful season full of warmth and joy.
